Welcome, once again, to the TASA Families Relationships & Gender thematic group blog.
I have taken over from Paula Wright as the moderator of the blog. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank her for all her hard work in establishing, designing and maintaining this website. I'd also like to thank the current convenors of the FRG group, Deb Dempsey and Belinda Hewitt, for inviting me to be a part of the group's communications team.
I have recently changed the settings so that all posts are visible to the public. I've looked through previous entries and comments and haven't found anything sensitive there, but please get in touch with me if there is anything on this site that you would like removed from public view.
To the right, in the sidebar, I have added a section called "Relevant Reading" which I will update with a list of blogs and links about similar topics as our group. Please comment below if you have a particular favourite that you'd like to see in the list.
As I mentioned in our first e-newsletter (distributed in March), we are hoping this blog will be a space with regular contributors. Please contact me (at drpen.robinson@gmail.com or by commenting below) if you would be interested in becoming a blog author. Ideally, we will have a member in each state to update about current events near them. Postgrad students, I'm particularly looking at you! Writing for a blog is great practice, and can genuinely help with your thesis writing.
I want this online space to be ours, so please don't hesitate to send your ideas, comments, questions and suggestions through. What would you like to see on this blog? How shall we make the most of it?
I look forward to hearing from you!
Penelope
